Minimalist illustrations of Liverpool's unique architecture
Liverpool illustrator and graphic artist Joe Rampley has created a series of architectural illustrations of Liverpool, which focuses on the relationship between Liverpool's unique architecture and minimalist illustration. Using a reductive technique of colours, shapes and compositions, he manages to capture architecture in its purest form.

He explained: "Liverpool's architecture on or near the docks is extremely unique. The buildings resemble all things nautical, and are clean and sleek. My illustration technique of reducing shapes, colours and compositions is an attempt to document these unique buildings using a minimalist approach to illustration."
A recent graduate of the Liverpool School of Art, Rampley also loves to make hand drawn type and short experimental films, and is available for freelance work. Check out his portfolio.
