Where "local artists" tend mainly to concentrate on the Tyne Bridge and Angel of the North, Ben's subject matter is the everyday places where life is lived... from the pub to the backstreet art house cinema, the newsagent to the barbershop. To Ben, these places signify Newcastle more than the city's major landmarks.

Ben's work has been exhibited at venues across the city as well as at The Biscuit Factory's UK Young Artist of the Year Awards. Prints are currently sold online and via The Baltic Gallery Shop.
