Alex Middleton's screen-printed idiom contests inspired by retro boxing posters
Have you ever wondered who would win if one idiom was pitched against another? In Alex Middleton's latest series, he presents Word Championship Bouts, screen-printed artworks inspired by retro boxing posters.

"Idioms, they're used every day. A figure of speech used to express meaning in a particular situation," explains Alex. "If there are too many folks involved in a meeting – 'too many cooks', one might say. However, the comeback to that could be 'The more the merrier'. But which of the two would be the victor? Who wins? You decide."
What would be a clever comeback to 'The pen is mightier than the sword'? Or perhaps 'Out of sight, out of mind'? You can find out more and view the full project on Alex's website.
