An ordered and creative workspace for Clare Taylor (aka Curious Clare) in Altrincham

Today we're having a nose at the studio of Clare Taylor (aka Curious Clare) - an artist, teacher and community co-ordinator from Cheshire. Clare has just moved into a new studio at Local Creation in Altrincham to try and have a dedicated space for all her artwork and materials.

In Clare's own words: "The idea of having the space was to give me somewhere to focus on my own work (after designing/making pretty much everything for my wedding last August) and to stop leaving my art stuff all over the house... although I just seem to be leaving creative mess at both my house and studio now! Ideally, I aim to use the studio two days a week and one evening. I’d really like to spend more time there but there aren’t enough hours in the week and my family would like to see me occasionally too! My own artwork is quite mixed and I work with ceramics, textiles and digital media.

"Since acquiring the studio I’ve designed flyers for a local business (Vintage afternoon Teas – this can be seen top right of the ‘sketchbook page inspiration wall’), designed a postcard for French Knots Craft Studio and I’m about to design their new logo. I’m currently making laser cut Perspex trophies for a local charity’s Fun Run (The Joshua Tree in Northwich) and I’ve been approached by a magazine to produce some illustrations for them (fingers crossed). I’m also working on some new ceramic objects."
