Inspirational design from Barcelona returns to Manchester

I'm pretty proud to say, that this next exhibition I'd like to share is happening on my own doorstep in Manchester. Right across the road from our office, in fact. Following on from last year's must-see exhibition and sell-out talks, BCNMCR returns to Manchester introducing the work of the some of the most exciting creative studios and designers from Barcelona.

Taking place at TwentyTwentyTwo on Dale Street, you'll be able to discover a selection of work from internationally-renowned, independent studios and designers hailing from the vibrant Spanish city. What's more, the event is completely free and kicks off on Thursday 27 March 2014 until Wednesday 23 April 2014. Expect the likes of Alex Trochut, Brosmind, Solo, Toormix, Laura Meseguer, Atipus, Clase BCN, Two Points, Folch Studio, Forma & Co and Berto Martinez.

Giving UK-based creatives the opportunity to learn more about the design approaches of a number of guest speakers and take part in a public exchange of ideas, BCNMCR will again stage a series of talks with visiting creatives. After experiencing overwhelming demand for tickets in 2013, this year’s talks will take place on Friday 28 March 2014 in the intimate surroundings of St Peter’s Church, Manchester, home to the Hallé Orchestra.

The exhibition is again organised and curated by home-grown designer and frequent visitor to the Catalan capital, Dave Sedgwick. Dave said: “Last year’s event surpassed all expectations, with both design industry professionals and students coming together from both cities to exchange ideas in greater numbers than we could have anticipated. The incredible contributions of the studios left us with some great memories and this year’s line-up of inspirational visitors, drawn from the centre of Barcelona’s graphic design, typography, illustration and branding industry, will offer us further insights into the minds of some of the world’s most forward-thinking creatives.”
