We're an established UK-based creative industry magazine with a global footprint. We reach and engage over a million creative professionals each month, primarily in visual communication – including art, advertising, marketing, graphic design, illustration, animation, and photography. While our roots are in the UK, our presence spans Europe, the United States, Canada, India, Australia, and beyond. We pride ourselves on being the leading voice for this niche creative audience.

At Creative Boom, we celebrate, inspire, and support the creative community through industry news, insights, inspiration posts, interviews, product reviews, buying guides, and tips articles. Our brand is recognised for being friendly, inclusive, and supportive. Over the years, we've collaborated with hundreds of partners, including industry giants like Meta, Google, Microsoft, and Adobe, and we've fostered a strong connection with our readers, from freelancers and small studio owners to creative directors and global brands.

Founded with the mission to "celebrate, inspire, and support", we have grown into a respected and credible platform maintained by our founding editor and a qualified team of journalists from across the UK.

Our ethos is cheerful, and we approach our work light-heartedly. Founded in opposition to the elitist media landscape of 2009, we strive to maintain an inclusive and relaxed atmosphere. We're serious about our work but not about ourselves, and we cherish supporting and being part of this incredible community.

Getting featured on Creative Boom

If you represent clients, products or experiences that meet our audience's interests – from tech gadgets to travel experiences and home office essentials to lifestyle enhancements – there's likely a fit in our magazine.

While we are always excited to explore editorial opportunities that align with our content and audience interests, we also offer sponsored content for clients with the appropriate budget. After all, you're gaining access to an audience that we've meticulously cultivated over 15 years, and we believe there is substantial value in this exposure, which justifies the investment.

It's important to note that we do not charge independent creatives for coverage – these are the very individuals our platform was created to support. Furthermore, we will consider providing complimentary coverage for certain brands if they cannot accommodate sponsored editorial within their budget.

We maintain strong ethical standards in all our publications, ensuring that the content we share is appropriate and genuinely engaging for our readers. We avoid topics that could be harmful or irrelevant to our audience, such as gambling, ensuring that everything we publish aligns with our mission to celebrate, inspire, and support the creative community.

How to pitch

We love you and want to do our very best to help your client get featured. We can't answer every email, but if you send us everything we need first time, you'll have a better chance of getting featured.

What is the dream PR pitch?

  • Email us and provide an overview of the story that we think would suit any of our specific sections.
  • Copy and paste the press release content into the body of the email for ease of access. (We hate PDFs but understand why you might need to use them, so just please attach them.)
  • Provide a link to images and videos via a Dropbox or WeTransfer that doesn’t require the hurdle of “ask permission” (we hate Google Drive) and is always available (it doesn’t expire, so we don’t have to chase), and some preview images attached to give us a flavour.
  • We need JPEGs or PNGs at least 2,000 pixels wide, GIFs at least 1,000 pixels wide, and MP4s no more than 10MB.
  • If relevant, please provide the name of someone we could talk to if we want an interview.
