Folklore and mystical nature weave their way into Luisa Rivera's dreamy illustrations
Luisa Rivera is an artist and illustrator who loves to craft illustrations with a strong focus on folk culture, history and mythologies to create compelling narrative. Using water-based paints, she tends to place the female figure at the heart of her artworks, embracing the natural world and the spiritual imagery inherent within it.

Based in London, Luisa is originally from Santiago, Chile. She has worked with clients such as Air Canada, Modern Farmer, The New York Times, Variety Magazine and Deloitte, amongst many others, and has published four picture books, the most recent one being La Pimpinela Escarlata, a Spanish edition of The Scarlet Pimpernel published by Penguin Random House Spain in 2016.
