Are you passionate about content, proactive and keen to learn about marketing? As a Multi-Channel Marketer apprentice, you'll learn how to plan, create and deliver campaigns across digital, social and traditional platforms, helping the BBC connect with millions of people every day.
The Media Department works out the best places to promote BBC content. Imagine a brilliant new show launching on iPlayer: Marketing decides who to reach, Creative develops the adverts, and Media works out where those adverts should appear – BBC TV, radio and iPlayer, or paid advertising on channels such as YouTube, TikTok, outdoor posters and cinema. You'll learn how audience data is used to plan campaigns, choose the right mix of channels and measure success, working with teams across the BBC and its external media agency.
What you'll be doing
- Working with a BBC team to develop and deliver its campaigns
- Contributing to brilliant content that helps audiences engage with the BBC
- Potentially analysing performance data to see what's working and to help improve future campaigns
- Supporting the team with scheduling and keeping campaigns on track
- Learning the tools, techniques and strategies behind world-class marketing
- Spending at least one day a week studying for a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship on the learning provider's virtual platform
What we're looking for
- Motivation: you're passionate and curious about the BBC's content and want a career in media marketing
- Creativity: you're full of fresh ideas and new perspectives
- Collaboration: you work well with others towards a common goal
- Organisation: you have a sharp eye for detail and can keep campaigns on track
- Adaptability: you can handle changing circumstances and uncertainty
- The scheme is aimed at non-graduates, and you must not already hold a marketing qualification at Level 3 or above, including a marketing degree. You must be 18 or over by September 2027, have lived in the UK continuously for the past three years, have the right to work full-time in the UK for the whole apprenticeship, and live within commuting distance of Salford
What's on offer
- Salary: £24,650
- Fixed-term apprenticeship, full-time for 18 months, based at Dock House, Salford
- An industry-recognised qualification, with training through the BBC Academy and its learning providers
- A 35-hour working week, 25 days' annual leave, a defined pension scheme, and discounted dental, healthcare and gym
- A dedicated Team Manager and Scheme Specialist, plus mentoring from industry professionals
- Employability and networking support, and the chance to apply for relocation support (subject to eligibility)
