Role Description
This is a full-time Motion Graphic Designer role based in Shrewsbury, offered on a hybrid basis with some work-from-home flexibility. The Motion Graphic Designer will conceptualise, design, and animate motion graphics for a range of video projects, including social media content, corporate films, explainer videos, and campaign assets.
Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with producers, editors, and clients to interpret briefs, creating storyboards and style frames, designing visual assets, and delivering high-quality animations that align with brand and project objectives.
The role also involves contributing creative ideas, optimising content for different platforms, preparing files for efficient post-production, and meeting project deadlines while maintaining a high standard of visual quality.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Motion Design and Motion Graphics, with a portfolio demonstrating creative, polished animation work.
- Experience in Video Production workflows, including collaborating with editors and understanding timelines, formats, and delivery requirements.
- Proficiency in Graphic Design and Graphics creation, including typography, layout, and visual storytelling for digital video.
- Advanced ability with industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop or equivalent motion and design software).
- Ability to interpret briefs, develop concepts, and create storyboards that communicate ideas clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a hybrid environment with both in-person and remote team members.
- Relevant experience in motion design or a related field; a degree or formal training in design, animation, or media is beneficial but not mandatory.
