The responsibility is described as being of immediate strategic importance and may change as new priorities emerge.

What you'll be doing

  • Teaching, curriculum development and research on the MA Animation course

  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of contemporary 2D and 2D experimental animation and taking part in relevant professional networks

What we're looking for

  • An experienced educator with an active profile as a filmmaker, artist, creative practitioner and/or researcher
  • Someone who enjoys working with postgraduate students and brings current professional practice into their teaching
  • A practice that values experimentation, curiosity and collaboration – this could include short film, documentary animation, experimental film, expanded or immersive animation, installation, artist moving image or 2D animation
  • An interest in pushing the boundaries of 2D animation
  • A commitment to an inclusive learning environment that builds students' confidence and creative voice

What's on offer

  • £44,375 – £52,977 per annum, pro rata
  • Permanent, part-time – 22.2 hours per week
  • Hybrid working – 60% at LCC, Elephant and Castle, and 40% working from home
  • UAL's family-friendly policies, flexible working arrangements and Staff Support Networks
