Director, Product Design

Datadog is seeking a seasoned design leader to continue shaping its products and define what's next. You'll lead design direction for a suite of observability and security products and build the team that ships it. This is a management role based in Datadog's New York office.

What you'll be doing

• Define a cohesive product vision and establish roadmaps, metrics and goals with cross-functional peers
• Champion product excellence and empower your team to deliver it
• Build, develop and lead a talented, diverse, global design team
• Evolve how the team designs and builds with AI
• Partner with Design peers to strengthen the design organisation's processes, tools and capabilities

What we're looking for

• 12+ years in product design, including 5+ years managing managers
• A portfolio demonstrating design leadership, craft, end-to-end ownership and product excellence
• Strong customer advocacy, with design decisions grounded in data and business context
• Experience building complex products, ideally B2B SaaS
• An understanding of the software development lifecycle, with enthusiasm for guiding teams to prototype in code and ship with AI
