Creative Director

The role

A senior leadership role across all of Art&Graft’s creative output. Working alongside our other Creative Directors, you will share responsibility for the Creative Team, blending high-level project oversight with dedicated mentoring and management.

Day-to-day responsibilities include searching for strategic insights, helping shape conceptual thinking, design and motion direction, client communication, leading meetings, mentoring and 1:1 sessions.

We are looking for a leader from a high-performing creative environment who brings a keen design eye alongside a deep understanding of conceptual sprints, motion languages, 2D and 3D animation pipelines, and toolkits.

The Art&Graft team is the foundation of our varied, conceptually driven portfolio. In this role, you will encourage their ongoing skills and career development, ensuring we expand our horizons and remain adaptable to any brief.

We believe the best work comes from long-term, trusting partnerships, and you will play a key role in building and nurturing these client relationships. Overseeing projects with beauty and intent, that always work beautifully.

This is a full-time creative role based in our London studio.

What you'll do

Creative excellence

• Be part of a global team of talented and versatile artists in our London studio.
• Deliver high-quality motion design projects, on a range of briefs, for progressive brands around the world.

Guidance & oversight

• Oversee the studio’s creative output to ensure all projects consistently raise the bar and meet our high standards.
• Collaborate with the team to produce exceptional and intentional work while continually exploring new techniques and creative challenges.
• Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to set the studio’s future creative vision, align with business needs, and identify areas for growth.

Management, mentoring & development

• Co-manage the Creative Team by mentoring Team Leads and providing constructive guidance to all members when needed.
• Support team development by identifying skill gaps, writing job descriptions, conducting bi-annual appraisals, and interviewing candidates.

Client communication

• Cultivate lasting client partnerships that reinforce Art&Graft’s reputation as a top-tier professional creative studio.
• Guide the team in preparing presentation decks and serve as a senior creative voice in all client meetings.

Production input

• Advise Team Leads and the Production Team on project scheduling to ensure alignment with client requirements.

Art&Graft's voice

• Champion internal initiatives like Masterclasses and Spark Sessions to broaden the team’s creative horizons and help attract new projects.
• Act as an external ambassador for the studio by speaking at industry events, joining panels, and reviewing portfolios.
• Maintain quality control over Art&Graft’s external communications on all platforms to reflect our high standards.
