co:collective is hiring a paired art director and copywriter in New York who favour bold, action-driven brand work over traditional advertising. "Two heads are better than one." This isn't a content role: the team wants one concept that moves culture and generates many pieces of content – "StoryDoing rather than storytelling". Reference points include REI's #OptOutside, CVS dropping tobacco sales, and Patagonia transferring its ownership to a trust and non-profit.
What you'll be doing
- Turn strategy and insight into experiences that go beyond traditional media.
- Build ideas that span brand, culture, experiences and partnerships.
- Push briefs from safe to bold.
- Produce one memorable campaign rather than many forgettable assets.
What we're looking for
- You have built campaigns and platforms from strategic insight through to launch.
- You have turned brand purpose into visible actions people can join and talk about.
- You make work that earns media attention, not just impressions.
- 5+ years in a creative agency focused on strategic concepting.
- Based in New York or willing to relocate.
- "We're hiring as a team: copywriter + art director" – candidates must apply as a pair. Website writers and brochure art directors need not apply. The guiding question for every brief: what's the most unexpected thing we could do with this?
What's on offer
- Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 a year.
- Full-time, hybrid role in New York.
