OMSE creates an identity for a sustainable packaging company that literally decomposes

When London studio OMSE got the call to create an identity for Grounded, a sustainable packaging company that aims to help businesses "leave nothing behind", they decided to make it, well, dissolve.

It's a clever take on Grounded's strategy, one that is based on the circular economy and whose products are fully customisable and pricing is based on the impact you make, not the amount you spend. Essentially, they want to remove plastics from the supply chain. In which case, OMSE also collaborated with Family Type who crafted a brand typeface to literally decompose as you type.

"Grounded supply businesses with environmentally friendly packaging alternatives with a core objective of increasing awareness around sustainability," says James Kape of OMSE. "The brief was to create a brand which reflected these aims and clearly explained their product offering to other businesses."

The identity features dissolving animations and product renders as "visual tools to describe the lifespan of their products".
