Creative Boom is an online magazine that celebrates, inspires and supports creative professionals worldwide.
Launched in 2009 by Founding Editor Katy Cowan, we explore the very best work from the fields of art, crafts, graphic design, illustration and photography – and are passionate about championing and providing inspiration to graduates, independents, freelancers, studios and anyone who has a love of creativity. We also offer tips, resources and interviews to help creatives succeed in their business or profession.
Since our inception, we've built a loyal and creative audience across the world, as well as attracted advertisers such as BBC, Jaguar, Samsung, Yahoo, Squarespace and Vimeo. Over the last 12 months, we've enjoyed the biggest social engagement compared to 10 other leading art and design blogs – just one article generated over 261K shares.
Aside from sharing inspirational work and business support through our online magazine, we also help brands to communicate their messages and reach their audiences through our communications consultancy, Boomerang.
"Creative Boom is a trusted resource for creative professionals everywhere. It has a huge, loyal community of freelancers, studios and independents – the very audience Adobe seeks to connect and engage with. We've spent the past three years tapping in to Creative Boom's readership, benefiting enormously from its ever-increasing reach and influence."
Emma Wilkinson, Head of Digital Marketing & Northern European Communications, Adobe
“Creative Boom more than lives up to its name, both showcasing and supporting creativity across the UK and world. We couldn't have launched Guardian Culture Professionals without their help and inspiration. And if ever I'm short of ideas, Creative Boom is my first port of call to get my synopses crackling again."
Nancy Groves, Commissioning Editor of Culture, The Guardian
“Working with the Creative Boom team was an absolute pleasure. The content they wrote was fantastic and was delivered quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend them to other partners.”
Alec McGuffey, Growth and Digital Marketing, Squarespace
