Since our inception, we've built a loyal and creative audience across the world, as well as attracted advertisers such as BBC, Jaguar, Samsung, Yahoo, Squarespace and Vimeo. Over the last 12 months, we've enjoyed the biggest social engagement compared to 10 other leading art and design blogs – just one article generated over 261K shares.
After graduating with a degree in Journalism in 2000, Katy worked as a broadcast journalist for various regional and national radio stations before joining one of the UK's biggest PR agencies. In 2007, she went freelance and has spent the past 10 years building her own communications consultancy in Manchester, working for clients such as BBC and Manchester City Football Club. She launched Creative Boom in 2009 to support others, as well as indulge her passion for creativity. Today, she oversees the editorial and commercial aspects of the site, and still loves to champion emerging talent. She occasionally writes for The Guardian.
Since graduating with a degree in Journalism from University of the Arts London, Laura worked with style and culture magazine, SuperSuper, before joining the Guardian’s culture desk. In 2012, she became Assistant Editor of To Be Continued magazine – a London lifestyle publication, and took her first foray into PR with a Shoreditch-based consultancy. Laura now dedicates her time to championing new creative talent in the fields of art, photography and design. She also works for sister company, Boomerang, and contributes to the Huffington Post.
Anthony is Director of Shillington Australia. With 15 years experience in design and a long stint of freelancing for startups and studios in London, he relished the challenge of joining the international design school in his home city, Sydney. Anthony joined Creative Boom's editorial team in 2014 and regularly shares his experience and industry insights with our creative audience.
Emily is a freelance writer based in London, and currently editorial resident with AIGA having previously worked as deputy editor at It's Nice That and reporter & what's on editor at Design Week. She joined Creative Boom's editorial team in 2016 and specialises in art, design, culture and women's issues.
Tom May is a freelance writer and editor specialising in design and creativity. He is a regular contributor to Computer Arts, net, ImagineFX and Professional Photography. Over two decades in journalism he's worked for a range of mainstream titles, including The Sun, NME, Company and Bella. He joined Creative Boom in 2017.
