Bad Eggs: Jessica Dance takes a timely look at "bad" leaders this Easter

She's brought us knitted comfort food and tasty, woven burgers, all made from 100% lambs wool. Now textile artist and model maker Jessica Dance is turning to the dark side for her latest timely series.

As you know, The Easter Egg is a symbol of new life and hope at this time of year, however – Jessica has decided to flip this fragile icon on its head by creating Bad Eggs, a collection of knitted egg sculptures that depicts leaders, both past and present, who have made "empty promises and given false hope to their nation's people".

From Donald Trump's infamous mop to Hitler's unmistakable moustache, Bad Eggs supposedly reminds us that at this peaceful time of year, we should perhaps remember what some leaders lack or are capable of. Discover more of Jessica's work at jessicadance.com. Photography by David Marquez.

Donald Trump:

Donald Trump: "We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And we will make America great again."

Saddam Hussein:

Saddam Hussein: "Politics is when you say your are going to do one thing while intending to do another. Then you do neither what you said nor what you intended."

Hitler:

Hitler: "If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."
