Three designers launch the National Degree Show to help art and design graduates showcase their work

For all those of you graduating this summer but have had your degree shows cancelled because of lockdown, then you might have your work featured on giant billboards across the UK thanks to a new campaign by designers India Pearce, Charlotte Weyer, and Anoushka Schellekens.

The trio behind Fresh Meet is putting together the National Degree Show and has partnered with Ocean Outdoor, who are generously donating £49,000 worth of billboard space in London, Bristol, Glasgow and Manchester for two weeks from 25 May.

Students can submit their work online for a chance to be featured, but hurry, the deadline is Friday 15 May. Submissions are open to any form of final year students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, or higher college courses, primarily in graphic design, illustration, and visual communications.

"We want to ensure that industry professionals still get to see all of the groundbreaking work that is being produced," says India. "Let's work together to keep the creative industries buzzing and full of fresh creativity."

And that's not it, as Fresh Meet is only just getting going. "Although billboards are a massive achievement to start this project off, it by no means stops here and we are aiming to get this work featured in as many places as possible," adds India. Want to help? The trio is looking for more spaces to showcase graduate work.
