Urbanite by Bence Bakonyi

Hungarian photographer Bence Bakonyi has created this series called Urbanite to celebrate the city he loves best and where he also happens to live – and that's Shanghai. Moving from one dilapidated place to another, Bence aims to show the modest side of the city's architecture, all making best use of the light available – even at night. Although we're seeing sides of Shanghai that others might not want you to see, Bence's photography unveils an unexpected beauty in the crumbling facades, demolished buildings and heavily urbanised areas of China's largest city.
