Unusual handmade Japanese planters of tree stumps, quirky houses and cute creatures

I confess. I'm addicted to all things Japanese. So when I spotted these delightful little planters by Harimogura on Etsy, I just had to share them with you. Hand-made by artists Jin and Aya, each little planter is crafted to be 'at one' with its plant.

From cute animals (such as kangaroos and cats) and interesting tree stumps to mini apple pots and curious fantasy homes – all are lovingly made in Japan from a polyurethane resin, are limited edition and shipped to customers all over the world.

Speaking of their work, the duo said: "We hand-craft designs which incorporate techniques ranging from sculpting, paintwork, to floral arrangement. Aya is the creator of the animal series while Jin is in charge of everything else. We think our products are unique and captivating so please enjoy looking through our hand-made curiosities."

If you want to purchase one of these charming planters, you can order one from Etsy. Each little vase is shipped with artificial flowers, and you're encouraged to repot them with real plants – succulents being the recommended type.
