Think colouring books are exclusively for kids? Think again.

Throw your mind back to the time when the greatest stress in your life was making sure you kept within the lines of your colouring book. Such great achievement was felt when your finished picture made it onto the fridge....ahhh, memories.

Thanks to illustrator Johanna Basford, we no longer need live in the past. Her series of adult colouring books have become a roaring success, selling over one million copies. And it's easy to see why. Inspired by visits to her grandparents' house in Scotland's Ayrshire, she creates the intricate outlines to be enjoyed by creative people looking to capture some of their youth.

She explains, β€œFor me, computer generated graphics can feel cold and soulless whereas hand drawing captures a sense of energy and character which no pixel can ever replicate." To see more, visit Basford's website.
