The New York Cycling Culture is an ongoing project by JP Bevins, an artist/photographer currently living in Brooklyn, NYC.

Capturing the people, the places, the shops and the clubs – Bevins invites us into an intimate world of hardcore cycling culture. These are people who take their hobby very seriously, and Bevins beautifully documents their healthy obsession.

He explained: "It's a project I've been working on slowly but surely, since moving to New York. There's a full infrastructure here in the city that functions every day, 24 hours that revolves completely around the cycling community. From the Dominican imports that race road bikes, to the countless bike shops all over the five boroughs, to the sub-culture of Spanish food delivery and their very specific type of street adapted mountain bikes. There's history being made out of hard work every day and most people are completely unaware of."
