The work of German artist Frank Bauer is so incredibly detailed, you'd easily mistake his paintings for actual photographs. But I think that's the whole point. He wants you to think his paintings are photographs. As you peer closely at these particular artworks, you'll see that he's picked out the kind of things that only cameras seem to capture... Like the strange hue of someone's face under a camera's flash light. Or the occasional blurred face of someone who isn't in focus. It takes such talent to make us question the medium of these works, and it's a talent you can see more of over at Frank's website.
