Oxford-based artist Chloe Giordano loves to embroider tiny animals onto fabric, creating beautiful threaded artworks no bigger than a thumbnail. From delicate little rabbits and fawns to colourful birds and crafty foxes, each threaded animal has astonishing detail.
Of course, sewing wasn't Giordano's intended career choice. She only began to sew during the last year of her Illustration degree at the University of the West of England, and since graduating in 2011 has continued to experiment with freehand embroidery, using sewing thread and hand dyed fabrics to make her work.
Originally from Buckinghamshire, she now lives and works in Oxford and has clients including Penguin Random House, Liberty and the BFI. Discover more at www.chloegiordano.com.
