I Bought: Photographed fashion collection inspired by David Hockney's retrospective at Tate

"I bought..." is a fashion collection by Spanish designer Melania Freire, inspired by David Hockney's recent retrospective at Tate Britain. To capture this unique series of clothing and accessories, Melania worked with photographer and art director Maya Kapouski, who came up with the idea to recreate the artist's studio as a backdrop for the shoot.

Choosing Spanish painter Nono Bandera's studio as the setting, the model posed in various garments, some of which include fragments of postcards that you could purchase during the summer exhibition in London while others contain the colours and textures that you often find in Hockney's paintings. All garments were painted by hand by Melania.
