Born and educated in Preston, Alwyn Talbot moved to Manchester many years ago and began his apprenticeship in underground comics, notably the Armageddon Patrol series.
He began working in the games industry shortly after as a pixel artist and animator but within months was doing Concept Art and Character Design.
When Acclaim Manchester was set up in Castlefield he was installed as the Primary Concept Artist and worked on many exciting projects, not all of which came to fruition but games such as Gladiator Sword of Vengeance were met with great reviews.
After 11 years in the games industry, he has worked on every platform from latest generation consoles to mobile and Ipads, covering practically every genre of game at one time or another.
With the unfortunate melt down in the North West games scene, Alwyn has been freelancing as an illustrator and comic artist, most recently completing a Judge Dredd story for 2000AD.
"I've been drawing since I was 2 and enjoy more as I go. When you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life. I find this to be true... even when pulling 15 hour days!" Check out his work at: http://alwyntalbot.co.uk.
