Airbnb guests can now spend the night in Van Gogh’s bedroom

Some paintings are so realistic it feels as though you could walk right into them. This concept has been taken one step further by an artist, who has recreated Van Gogh’s iconic painting The Bedroom for Airbnb guests to stay in.

The installation coincides with an exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago featuring three versions of Van Gogh’s bedroom at his home in Arles, France, alongside other key pieces of his work.

For die-hard art fans, the opportunity to stay in a room imagined by Van Gogh, for just $10 per night will be difficult to resist. The listing on Airbnb reads: "This room will make you feel like you're living in a painting. It's decorated in a Post-Impressionist style, reminiscent of Southern France and times gone by. Its furniture, bright colours, and artwork will give you the experience of a lifetime."

It takes interactive art to new levels – the perfect place to dream up your next masterpiece, we reckon. Find out more at www.airbnb.com.
