Alan Fears’ humorous and 1980s-inspired paintings captured in 2019 calendar

Having had Alan Fears’ 2018 calendar adorn our walls this year, we were rather excited to hear of the release of his 2019 version.

The A3 ring binder calendar features 12 of Alan’s most recent paintings, including Playing with Roland, Boyfriend Material and Weekend Socks, in his usual vibrant and humorous style.

Known for his 1980s-inspired, whimsical paintings, British multidisciplinary artist Alan describes himself as: “A naive artist, a graphic artist, a pop artist... I am a slice of each. My style is simple and direct. The theme in most of my art revolves around reminding myself, and everybody else, how great and stupid humans can be and therefore how great and stupid life can be.”

2018 has been a busy year for Alan, having had his work exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, been selected for the John Moores Painting Prize and created an animation for Italian fashion label Marni. He also currently has a ‘mini-masterpiece’ in the Art on a Postcard secret auction.

Each calendar is £20 and available to purchase at alanfears.com.
