Swamp: Psychedelic photography series pops with an explosion of technicolour

Photographer Chloe Sells splits her time between Botswana and London – the former of which serves as inspiration for this glorious series of photographs entitled Swamp.

Her process involves making large format negatives of photographs of the swamp that surrounds her house in Botswana. Back in London she experiments in the darkroom and studio to produce vibrant and unique images that communicate her sense of place in southern Africa.

We were totally blown away by the vibrancy of the images, which are more akin to paintings or digital renderings than photography.

Born in Aspen, Colorado, Sells graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2000 after studying Fine Art. She then went on to achieve a Masters in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. Her first solo exhibition was held at the Michael Hoppen Gallery, London, in 2013. And Chloe's latest body of work will be exhibited at the Julie Saul Gallery, New York, from 21 April - 21 June 2016.

Swamp will be available in a book published by GOST Books from 2 May 2016.
