Pride: Rebecca Louise Law's blooming floral sculptures inspired by a deadly sin

As one of the seven deadly sins, pride is the opposite of humility. How would pride be portrayed today? That was the challenge set for British artist Rebecca Louise Law – featured previously – who works with real flowers in her elaborate installations.

To honour Aarhus as Capital of Culture for 2017, Law's debut exhibition at Denmark's Skovgaard Museum will showcase a series of prints, sculpture and installation artwork surrounding the theme of Pride.

The flowers will slowly wilt and wither during the course of the exhibition. Touching upon the Vanitas tradition, Pride will comment upon the ephemerality of nature and challenge the natural progression of decay.

Available to see from 3rd February until 28th May. Details can be found on the Aarhus 2017 website.
