A Space Odyssey gets symmetrical within photography

Mark Chapman is a digital artist, often experimenting with the idea of abstract photographic imagery, and in particular the use of symmetry.

These artworks use abstracts from photos of architectural constructions. Some of them use the smallest detail, whilst other images use larger details of buildings which are then reduced in scale for the final artwork.

The architectural abstracts featured here are from various cities of the world, but they are not necessarily well known or architecturally renowned in their own right. In fact, they are often parts of the city that are unseen or unappreciated; such as car parks and industrial sites.

The symmetry theme was inspired by the visual style of various science fiction movies - in particular, 2001: A Space Odyssey. More of Mark's work can be found at www.radarcommunication.com.
